The Office of Civil Rights Compliance and Accessibility (CRCA) is the university unit tasked with preventing and addressing all forms of harassment and discrimination, including sexual harassment and sexual misconduct, across the FIU community. CRCA houses the University’s Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title VII, Title VI, and Title IX functions. CRCA oversees the University's compliance with these laws and implementing regulations while overseeing University Regulations FIU-105: Sexual Harassment (Title IX) & Sexual Misconduct, FIU-106: Nondiscrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation (Title VII), and the University policy on Reasonable Accommodations for Faculty, Staff, Employment Candidates, and Visitors.

The Student Conduct and Academic Integrity Office educates FIU community members about the Student Conduct and Honor Code, the value of respecting others, and the importance of Academic Integrity. Through the student conduct process, students are held accountable for their behavior in a fair and developmental manner while upholding the rights of the community.

The FIU PD employs a Community Oriented Policing approach to problem solving and works diligently to prevent and investigate criminal activity, providing for a safe flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and finding solutions to the issues that affect our students, our faculty, and our staff.

FIU implemented a mandatory Sexual Assault Prevention course in 2017 which addresses the critical issues of sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking.
