The mission of the Department of Campus Life at the Biscayne Bay Campus is to engage students in holistic learning by instilling diversity, leadership, and personal development through its program and services.

Registered Student Organizations Council is the governing council that oversees the registration, promotion, development, and distribution of funds for student organizations at Florida International University.

The Black Student Union at FIU welcomes students of all races to rejoice in African American programming that is reflective of our culture and history. BSU is not only dedicated to supporting students, but also motivating them to become involved and successful here at FIU. Providing a welcoming environment for students to achieve academic success, participate in community service and share in cultural and social programming is our mission. We wish is to create a network of members who connect culturally; in hopes of creating a union that enhances their collegiate experience.

The Student Programming Council (SPC) is an organization at each campus that programs events for FIU students and its community. Events range from comedy shows to movies, concerts, pool parties and lectures. Members of SPC have the opportunity to gain leadership experience, network and learn how to program a variety of events. In addition, the council works with other organizations on campus to provide more diverse programming to students.

Services of the SORC office include:
Panther Connect training - A 15-minute training that goes over the features on pantherconnect.fiu.edu and gives access to ALL CSO forms.

Florida International University's Veteran and Military Affairs office. This office is available to assist you in receiving your educational benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs. We are also available to assist you in areas that will assure your academic success. FIU Student Media combines Panther Press, a newspaper produced by undergraduate students, and The Roar, a student-run radio station. Panther Press is published Mondays, Wednesday and Thursdays during the regular academic year and The Roar runs 24 hours, seven days a week.

The Multi-faith Council is comprised of many religious organizations from different faith traditions. These organizations are devoted to their unique religious traditions, and together as a council, serve the FIU community. through a commitment to foster an atmosphere that both nurtures the intellectual dimensions of faith as well as encourages the spiritual dimensions of education.

The member organizations of the Multi-faith Council are all affiliated with nationally recognized religious bodies, and the leaders of Multi-faith Council organizations are professional staff (clergy or laity).
